Alfriston (A) 2pm

Bodiam 245 for 2  Alfriston 167

Bodiam took advantage of a very dry pitch on a lovely afternoon at Alfriston .Openers G.Bransby and P.Barnett put on 30 runs before P.Barnett was bowled for 17.G.Avann  then proceeded to take apart the  Alfriston bowlers  scoring  a magnificent  158 n/o  ably supported by a steady  58 from G.Bransby.Bodiam declared at 245 for 2.

After a lovely tea Alfriston lost  two early wickets at the hand of Mark Freeman( 8-1-18-4) and B.Courts  in a rare appearance at the bowling crease managed two good  overs (2-0-7-0 )on his slow return to Bodiam's bowling attack. T.Adams (7-2-16-0) M.Barnett(7-0-49-0)E.Avann           (6-0-42-1)G.Avann(4-2-7-2) and P.Barnett (4-2-1-3) all shared the bowling honours and Alfriston were all out on 167.

26/7/15
Hadlow Down MW (A) 2 pm
Cancelled due to weather

19/7/15 Bodiam 195 for 10 Sevenoaks Weald 196 for 6Bodiam won the toss and elected to bat..Disappointingly  the top batting order failed to trouble the opposition with only 23 runs scored off the bat for the first five wickets .However the middle order of M. Barnett  (29)M. Dixon (22) Corner Carpets Man Of  The Match  Julian Hanshaw(34)and T.Waters (32)added useful runs and Bodiam finished their innings on a more satisfying total of 195 all out at tea.
When Weald batted  Bodiam's  M.Freeman took the first wicket with only 8 runs on the board but Weald then began to put on the pressure  and runs started to accumulate. With 66 for 1 on the scoreboard at 20 overs Bodiam still appeared in with a chance  but after several dropped catches Weald steadily moved the score forward and Bodiam were unable to  get the necessary wickets. P. Barnett (2 for 27) and H.Smeed (2 for 33)were the most successful bowlers. Weald scored the winning runs in the 39th over  in a  challenging match where Bodiam never really took control.

 12/7/15

Bodiam v Sedlescombe (H)2.30pm
Bodiam batted first in this 40 over match By 20 overs the score was 62 for 4 with the runs shared evenly between the opening four batsmen but an unexpected cameo innings  from (Corner Carpets Man Of The Match) K.Dixon (28) ably supported by brother Mark(20)and T.Waters (14)pushed the score on to a more respectable 146 for 9 at tea time. Thanks to those people who provided cakes in the absence of T.Dixon whose catering skills were demanded elsewhere on this occasion.
Sedlescombe set off well after the early loss of W.Tate  but due to some fine bowling from  T.Waters(4 for 31)  and H.Smeed (4 for 14 ) and a couple  catches from sub- fielder R.Colegate they were unable to sustain the run rate required  and needed 21 off the last three overs. Sedlescombe finished on 128 in this friendly final home  game played in less than summery conditions.

5/7/15
Bodiam v Winchelsea (A)2.30pm
Cancelled due to weather

28/6/15
Bodiam v Wanderers (H) 1pm JT Memorial Game
A lovely day once again despite a rather overcast afternoon.Wanderers batted first losing a couple of wickets fairly quickly but thanks to the efforts of B.Ferguson (99) and J.O'Brien (70)they managed to accumulate 257 for 8 by tea time. Main wicket takers were T. Cconstable (2 for 21) and R.Colegate (2 for 35) Tracey Dixon and her team once again put on a sumptuous strawberry tea and Bodiam made a good start with S.Constable (41) and G.Constable (4) putting on a good first wicket stand. T.Constable (32) and M.Towner (49) added useful runs but Bodiam were all out for 190 after 19 overs.Wanderers were presented with the John Towner Memorial Trophy for the third year running .£200 was raised from the raffle, teas and match fees to be sent to Prostate Cancer UK. The sun came out for the barbecue run by teams Constable ,Colegate and Honess  and a very big thank you goes to Glen Constable for ground and barbecue organisation,Tracy Dixon tea,Gordon Dixon raffle,Terry Adams team selection , Richard Colgate and Kevin Dixon public announcements and everyone who played  and helped and contributed to this special day.

Hanshaw 2 for 25.A rare appearance from K.Dixon as deputy  wicket keeper  gained  an exciting  stumping and  catch  to put pressure on brother Mark! and SLOBs players stated that Tracey Dixons tea was the best they had ever had ! Thankyou Tracey.
Bodiam openers (birthday boy)  G.Bransby(23 reversal of his age ) and E.Avann (60) put on 86 for the first wicket in reply. H.Smeed n/o 85 was top scorer  and Bodiam reached 227 for 7 with 1.5 overs to spare.

17/5/15

A good win at our first home fixture of the season.
Bodiam 184 for 4 Mountfield 142. The usual cold wind  spoilt an otherwise sunny day but there was  added excitement from the  helicopter just managing to land in the pub garden narrowly avoiding the bridge and trees! The excitement continued as H.Smeed  fought his way to 100 n/o  ably supported by P.Barnett (28)in a 110 partnership. The bowling honours also went to  the same two players(Men of the Match) P.Barnett (3 for 11 )and H. Smeed (4 for 19) It was good to see Steve Seabridge back supporting and umpiring along with Joanna. The day's success was rounded off with a fine tea  courtesy of Tracey Dixon.

10/5/15

On a sunny afternoon Bodiam were back on form against WG Gracefully with a good win-                     Bodiam 196 for 5 WG Gracefully 126 for 9 -see results page.

3/5/15

Bodiam lost their first fixture of the season playing one man short (Mr Courts went AWOL )in less than cricket weather. See fixtures and results. There were some good batting performances notably Graham Bransby but fielding was not quite up to par.
